Kathy Curto teaches at Sarah Lawrence College/The Writing Institute, Montclair State University and several nonprofit organizations and community centers in the metropolitan area. She is the author of Not for Nothing-Glimpses into a Jersey Girlhood. Her essays have been featured in the anthologies And There Were Red Geraniums Everywhere (published in English and Italian) and Listen to Your Mother: What She Said Then, What We’re Saying Now. Kathy’s writing has also been featured on NPR and in Oh Reader, The Inquisitive Eater, Barrelhouse, Beach Badge, The Keepthings, The Mom Egg Review, HerStry, Drift and Talking Writing among others. Her piece “Still Cooking Side by Side” was included in the Best of Tiny Love Stories (New York Times, August 2021.) She is co-founder of KTTC Workshop and serves on the board of the Italian American Writers Association. Kathy lives with her family in the Hudson Valley.
